Mary O’Dea’s main practice areas include commercial transactions, with a focus on aviation law, and commercial litigation .

Ms. O’Dea has almost nine years experience representing clients in the aviation industry. These clients include passenger and freight carriers, aviation support companies, and companies specializing in the sale of used aircraft and parts. During that time, Ms. O’Dea has negotiated hundreds of leasing transactions and she regularly negotiates, drafts, and advises clients on aircraft and engine purchase agreements, leases, maintenance agreements and consignment agreements.

Ms. O’Dea also has experience handling commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court. As an associate with Condon & Forsyth in New York City, she handled litigation at the trial and appellate level for a wide range of domestic and international air carriers. For the past five years, she has also managed litigation for clients in both Michigan state and federal courts.

She is a graduate of Boston University Law School, where she served as an editor of the International Law Journal. Ms. O’Dea is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts and Michigan and is a member of the bar associations of those states. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Air and Space Law, and the Federal Bar Association has published several articles authored by Ms. O’Dea.
